Success Center
The Success Center is one of the many services offered by the ESC. The Success Center has been designed to provide opportunities for credit-recovery, development of work-ready skills, social-emotional support, and a high school diploma for the county's most at-risk students.
The Success Center is a high school educational placement where students are able to engage in online and blended learning, face-to-face tutorials facilitated by highly qualified teachers, problem-based learning units, and earn high school credits in non-traditional ways. These strategies include, but are not limited to, work-study, flex credit, and volunteer service along with their required courses of study. The Success Center focuses on the whole student with personalized educational services in a safe environment. The social, emotional, and educational skills are nurtured within an innovative setting to optimize future success at school, home, and in the community.
Program elements include the following:
- Public school educational placement
- Flexible scheduling to meet student and family needs
- Online, face-to-face, flexible credit options and extended learning opportunities
- Credits earned based on demonstrated competency
- Work study
- Emphasis on employability skills
- Students earn diplomas from their home districts
- Credit recovery options
- Individualized student success plans and crisis intervention plans
- Daily and weekly goal setting and reflection
- Mental health services as needed
The Success Center accepts referrals for all 8 of the public school districts in Fairfield County, Ohio. These districts are:

- Liberty Union-Thurston Local Schools
