Substituting with Fairfield County ESC
Thank you for your interest in substituting with the Fairfield County ESC! The FCESC does substitute onboarding for all 8 districts located in the county. These districts include Amanda-Clearcreek, Berne Union, Bloom-Carroll, Fairfield Union, Lancaster City, Liberty Union-Thurston, Pickerington, and Walnut Township.
Per state law to be a substitute teacher you must hold at least a bachelor’s (4-year) degree, to be a substitute aide you must hold at least a high school diploma. A substitute teacher supersedes a substitute aide, if you need to apply for a license/permit please apply for the one in which you are most eligible.

Substitutes will be activated in Absence Management (AESOP) within 48 hours of ESC Governing Board Approval.
The above schedule will be updated for January through May, 2023 after the 2023 Organizational Meeting.
